東京都多摩地方の小学生なら一度は遠足で訪れたであろう、高尾山。
かつて京王線新宿駅には、高尾に住むという天狗の巨大お面が鎮座していました。
京王線高尾山口駅かJR高尾駅から高尾山に向かって歩くと、
お土産屋さんもさることながら、おいしいお蕎麦屋さんが沢山。
まずここでお蕎麦を堪能してから、ケーブルカーに乗りましょう。
ケーブルカーでミシュラン三ツ星の山の中腹まで到着すれば、
高尾山薬王院までもうすぐです。ぜひお参りしていきましょう。
お蕎麦を食べなかった方は、薬王院大本坊で精進料理を召し上がるのも吉。
帰りは登山道を歩きながら自然を満喫してはいかがでしょうか。
山を下りるとお腹が減ってくる頃。
前もって予約しておいた「うかい鳥山」へ。送迎車に乗っていくと良いでしょう。

Takao mountain, where used to be the day trip place for kids around Tama hills.
Back in the days, Shinjuku sutation in Keio-line had displayed the huge "Tengu" mask.
"Tengu" is the kind of  superstition and said that they have dwelled in Takao mountain for long.
There are 2 stations, Keio-line "Takao-sanguchi" and JR line "Takao".
Heading to the mountain, you can find many Soba restaurants around there.
Take a one bowl 'cos it's scrumpcious before get started climbing, instead of attractive suvneir shops.
When you arrive the tarminal of Cable-car, then the temple is almost there.
By all means, pop in "Yakuouin" temple and make a wish.
Did you miss Soba at the ground and get famished?
No worries, "Shojin-Ryori" is there in the temple.
"Shojin-Ryori" is traditional Japanese cuisine and extremely healthy.
Taking a walk would bring you to fantastic nature view when going back.
No doubt you get hungry when you reach the ground.
Head to "Ukai-Toriyama" booked beforehand. They furnish you the pick-up lift.
